The waymarking is similar to other long distance paths in Turkey using red and white stripes or flashes. This method originates from the Grand Randonneur (GR), long distance walking routes from France.
The stripes should run parallel to the direction of the path
Follow direction of the turn
The wrong way
Waymarking has been placed at regular intervals; on difficult paths closer together whereas on easy road sections maximum 200m apart. The number increases close to junctions and is marked both ways ie. the other side of the rock. Waymarks are mostly painted on stone and sometimes trees or whatever is available according to the terrain.
